Economic Support Consultant 2 – Revenue Maximization Specialist

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking an Economic Support Consultant 2 to join the Revenue Maximization (Rev Max) unit within the Division of Family & Children Services. The role focuses on determining eligibility and funding for foster care and adoption assistance programs, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Determine Title IV‑E and Medicaid eligibility for foster care and adoption assistance children.
• Complete initial and ongoing funding determinations, including annual Medicaid redeterminations.
• Enter and maintain case data in SHINES and Gateway systems.
• Collaborate with county child‑welfare staff and provide technical assistance on funding determinations.
• Maintain case records in accordance with federal and Rev Max protocols.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED plus three years of related experience, or one year as an Economic Support Consultant 1.
• Knowledge of Title IV‑E, Medicaid, and related federal and state regulations.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor for interactions with agency and community partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SHINES and Gateway data entry systems.
• Ability to analyze eligibility forms, applications, and financial data.
