Echo Laboratory Workleader

About the role

The Echo Laboratory Workleader serves as the primary technical resource for the Cardiovascular Imaging Lab at Martin Hospital South. This full‑time, days‑only position supports quality assurance, education, and daily operations across multiple Cleveland Clinic locations.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the Cardiovascular Imaging Lab Quality Assurance Programs, including monitoring patient‑care aspects.
• Oversee visiting physicians, sonographers, and fellows; provide training on new equipment, stress echo, and dobutamine.
• Perform Echo, Doppler, Color Doppler, and 3D examinations and assist in modality design and evaluation.
• Facilitate monthly teaching sessions, journal clubs, and on‑site vendor training.
• Mentor students and act as liaison to educational institutions.

Required profile

• Graduate of a two‑year Cardiovascular Technologist program.
• At least three years of cardiac ultrasound experience.
• Active RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Echo, Doppler, Color Doppler, and 3D imaging.
• Knowledge of cardiac ultrasound quality assurance processes.
• Ability to train staff and vendors on new equipment and protocols.
