Early Learning Specialist – GPB

About the role

Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) seeks a part‑time Early Learning Specialist to promote GPB and PBS KIDS content to parents, educators and community organizations across Georgia.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and distribute GPB and PBS KIDS resources through workshops, trainings and outreach events for families and early‑learning professionals.
• Organize, plan and facilitate family outreach events, after‑school programs, camps and educator trainings for children ages 2‑8.
• Build and maintain partnerships with schools, libraries, after‑school programs and other educational organizations.
• Collaborate with GPB education team and PBS KIDS colleagues to align projects with GPB goals and ensure inclusive design.
• Communicate event information via print, social media, website, e‑newsletters and blogs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, early childhood education or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience managing large‑scale, multi‑faceted projects, preferably in early childhood education.
• Strong organizational, research and communication skills with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Commitment to educational equity and inclusive access.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel across Georgia.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using Google Suite.
• Familiarity with Apple technology (iPads, etc.) and current educational technology practices.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of $45.
• Flexible part‑time schedule (average 20‑29 hours per week).
