E3 RF Engineer

About the role

Amentum is seeking an E3 RF Engineer to support the test, evaluation, integration and configuration of C5ISR systems in Dahlgren, Virginia. The work covers electromagnetic environmental effects (E3), radio frequency (RF) engineering, modeling and simulation, and EMI/EMC testing and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Perform E3 computation and RF modeling and simulation
• Develop detailed EMI/EMC test plans
• Take part in EMI/EMC test planning meetings and test readiness reviews
• Perform EMI/EMC testing and gather, reduce and analyze the resulting test data
• Prepare and publish detailed EMI/EMC test reports
• Review technical documentation and provide technical meeting support
• Support the test, evaluation, integration and configuration of C5ISR systems

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific or technical discipline
• Six years of experience in mechanical, electrical, computer science, physics, mathematics or naval architecture engineering
• Four years of R&D, test, engineering or integration experience related to warfare or electronic systems
• Demonstrated experience in one or more technical areas such as RF and microwave engineering, EMP, E3, EMI/EMC, E3 computation and RF simulation, defense acquisition engineering, spectrum, EMC or RADHAZ certification
• Experience with EMI/EMC analysis, EMI planned maintenance systems (PMS), USN Optimized Fleet Response Plan (O-FRP), EMI control and mitigation, and EMI control or measurement drawings
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required
