Dynamics 365 Technical Architect

About the role

The Dynamics 365 Technical Architect will join Enviva’s growing IT team in Bethesda, driving the design and delivery of end‑to‑end ERP solutions across Finance, Supply Chain Management and Commerce. Reporting to the D365 F&O Manager, you will shape architecture, ensure best‑practice implementation and support the platform for a global renewable‑energy company.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and customize Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Supply Chain Management and Commerce modules according to functional and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with technical colleagues and business users to design solutions that follow Microsoft best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for functional consultants and external clients.
• Own the technical side of support tickets and work closely with the Application Administrator.
• Manage D365 F&O ISV software, integrations and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality and alignment.
• Deliver internal and business‑user training sessions.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of D365FO architecture and extensibility model.
• Expertise in X++, SQL.NET, C# and C++.
• Strong experience with Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Azure DevOps.
• Proven background in application lifecycle management, including code merging and deployments.
• Ability to design reusable frameworks and efficient patterns.
• Experience leading a development sub‑team and presenting technical solutions to stakeholders.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation (test cases, TDD, SOPs).
• Commitment to follow a defined Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and drive automation.
• Willingness to obtain at least one Microsoft certification per year (e.g., D365 F&O, Power Platform, Azure).
• Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Technical Consultant Associate and a BS degree in Computer Information Systems.
