Duty Manager – Flight Operations

About the role

Aero is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to lead daily flight operations across its Part 135 network. Based in the United States, you will work closely with the Operations Control Center (OCC) team in Romania to ensure safe, efficient, and guest‑focused execution of all flights.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tactical oversight of daily flight operations, guaranteeing safety, efficiency, and superior guest satisfaction.
• Optimize aircraft and crew utilization by coordinating with crew scheduling, dispatch, maintenance control, charter sales, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor short‑term schedules to ensure aircraft are routed efficiently according to route, technical, and commercial priorities.
• Develop and execute disruption recovery plans during irregular operations (IROPS), handling cancellations, consolidations, tech stops, delays, and ferry flights.
• Act as the primary liaison with Fixed‑Base Operators (FBOs), overseeing ground‑operations support, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Support charter and sales teams by providing operational insight and coordination.

Required profile

• Seasoned operations leader with a calm‑under‑pressure demeanor.
• Strong decision‑making ability in fast‑paced environments.
• Deep knowledge of aviation operations, regulatory compliance, and vendor management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate between OCC, flight crews, dispatch, maintenance, FBO partners, sales, and executive leadership.
