Drug Product Development Intern

About the role

The Drug Product Development Internship supports multiple projects in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, focusing on formulation and analytical assay development for vaccine drug products. The position is on‑site with a flexible schedule, 16‑32 hours per week from November 1 to March 15.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare formulations for drug delivery platforms such as mRNA‑lipid nanoparticles, particulate suspensions, and polymer microparticles.
• Characterize physiochemical properties using dynamic light scattering (DLS), pH, osmolality, zeta potential, and plate‑based absorbance assays.
• Assist in developing benchtop and in‑vitro assays to define critical quality attributes of drug substances and products.
• Collect, analyze, and organize data; troubleshoot and present findings in written reports and meetings.
• Maintain thorough electronic lab notebook and documentation records.

Required profile

• B.S. candidate in bioengineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or equivalent.
• Hands‑on laboratory experience in an academic or industry setting.
• Basic lab skills such as pipetting, weighing, using glassware, making solutions, and performing dilutions.

Required skills

• Experience with aseptic technique (preferred).
• Familiarity with physiochemical characterization techniques (e.g., HPLC, DLS, pH measurement).
• Ability to maintain detailed electronic lab notebooks and documentation.
