Driver Supervisor

About the role

The Driver Supervisor is responsible for driver assignments, scheduling, and coordinating product movements to customers, vendors, and distribution centers. This role ensures efficient use of company equipment, fleet, and drivers while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to all guaranteed inbound product movements, including vendor purchase orders and internal transfers.
• Manage driver assignments for all inbound and outbound loads.
• Coordinate product transfers to other distribution centers.
• Measure and report driver payroll, service levels, and fleet performance.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts using lean tools to eliminate waste.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent DOT experience.
• Knowledge of D.O.T., Federal and State regulations for drivers and equipment.
• Working knowledge of federal Hours Of Service regulations.
• Ability to work in a constantly changing environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations.
• Knowledge of Federal and State transportation regulations.
• Understanding of Hours Of Service regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
