Drafting & Design Coordinator

About the role

Ervin Cable Construction is looking for a Drafting & Design Coordinator to create and modify telecommunications and permit drawings. You will support project timelines, produce high‑quality drafts, and ensure design work aligns with client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Create or modify telecom and permit drawings based on customer design specifications.
• Design small extensions and system redesigns using AutoCAD or other specified software.
• Coordinate project timelines and deliverables, providing strand maps, design maps, BOMs, and digital files to the team.
• Maintain high production levels to meet and exceed client expectations.
• Learn new software and adapt to emerging technology as needed.
• Meet tight deadlines and complete tasks under pressure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED; up to two years of OSP design/engineering experience required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Coursework or internship experience in design and drafting preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD or comparable drafting software.
