Dozer Operator – $1,500 Sign-On Bonus

About the role

Layton Services is seeking an experienced Dozer Operator to join its construction team. You will operate bulldozers for grading, land clearing, and site preparation, ensuring precise elevations with or without GPS assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate bulldozers to cut, grade, and level land according to project specifications.
• Push, spread, and compact soil, rock, and other materials to ready job sites.
• Follow grade stakes, GPS data, and foreman directions to achieve required elevations.
• Assist in site preparation for underground utilities, roads, and building pads.
• Maintain a safety‑first attitude and comply with all site safety practices.
• Perform any additional duties as required by the role.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment, especially bulldozers.
• Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling techniques.
• Familiarity with grading techniques, slope control, soil compaction, site plans, and grade stakes.
• Experience using GPS and laser grading systems (training can be provided).
• Ability to read and follow project plans, site maps, and supervisor directions.
• Understanding of OSHA workplace safety regulations; OSHA Trenching and Excavating Certificate and OSHA 10‑Hour training can be obtained after hire.
