Donor Tech Lead

About the role

The Donor Tech Lead is responsible for leading daily operations of mobile blood bank personnel and processes, ensuring quality control, donor safety, and excellent customer service. This role combines hands‑on blood bank technical work with supervisory responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mobile blood drive resources to achieve quality customer satisfaction.
• Supervise and improve processes, maximize efficiency, and maintain high employee morale.
• Perform all duties of a Blood Bank Technician, including donor selection, phlebotomy, and emergent donor reaction care.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and privacy standards.
• Travel between facilities and mobile locations, operating company‑owned vehicles with a clean driving record.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a healthcare‑related field.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and data‑entry software.
• Computer literacy for retrieving and entering information.
• Ability to operate donor collection equipment and perform phlebotomy.
