Distribution / Warehouse Associate (Technician 2)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Distribution / Warehouse Associate (Technician 2) to support its Material Distribution team at the manufacturing facility in Johns Creek, GA. The role combines manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties, using equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, and RF scanners while maintaining data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and train personnel on automated equipment and coordinate inventory replenishment.
• Assist Distribution Technician 3 with workload balancing and special handling problem solving.
• Perform RF cluster picking, OSR replenishment, RF cart build, audit counting, and put‑away.
• Maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts and ensure clean, organized work areas.
• Conduct quality checks and order verification using CRTs and visual inspection.
• Work with Business Systems and Equipment Services to resolve order and equipment issues.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate fluently in English.
• Willingness to work first‑shift hours, Monday‑Friday, with occasional overtime.

Required skills

• Proficiency with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (e.g., Red Prairie).
• Experience operating forklifts, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Computer literacy and basic mathematical skills.
