Distribution Center Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Distribution Center (DC) Maintenance Supervisor in Charlotte, NC. The supervisor is responsible for the success of assigned functions in a complex distribution center, working with the Maintenance Manager to set strategies that maximize productivity and control expenses. They manage and oversee equipment and facility maintenance, analyze trends and solve problems, and typically lead a team of seven direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Coach, train and develop associates through formal and informal programs, give performance-based feedback, ensure technical certifications are maintained and keep a union-free workplace.
• Maintain a strong safety culture by following safety policies, monitoring safety and physical security, and inspecting equipment and facilities regularly.
• Manage facility repairs, maintenance and installation, review contractor bids, select contractors and ensure they meet safety, schedule, budget and quality standards.
• Review maintenance, production and quality control reports and statistics, and recommend and implement cost-effective, safety-compliant changes to facility and equipment.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Associate's degree or equivalent, or preferred: bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• At least 2 years of work experience; preferred: 3 years and 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Preferred: working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, cross-functional collaboration, facilities management background and change management experience.
