Dishwasher / Janitor

About the role

As a Dishwasher/Janitor at Chuy’s you will keep the dining area spotless and ensure the kitchen has clean tools and an organized workspace, supporting fast service for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashers.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming dining room, including floor sweeping, table wiping, and trash removal.
• Restock supplies such as napkins, condiments, and cleaning materials.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly.

Required profile

• Reliable and able to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.
• Basic reading comprehension for safety signs and instructions.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing machines.
• Use of cleaning chemicals and janitorial equipment.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation and food‑safety procedures.
