Director / Technical Program Leader – IVUS Systems

About the role

Lead the design, development, integration, and commercial launch of next‑generation intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) products on a multi‑modal interventional platform. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure the program meets technical, regulatory, and market requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Define system requirements, architecture, and integration strategy for IVUS systems.
• Drive multidisciplinary R&D efforts (hardware, embedded software, algorithms, consumables) through product development, verification & validation, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage technical risk, trade‑off analysis, and configuration management across a large R&D team.
• Engage business leaders and customers to align technical solutions with market needs.

Required profile

• 15+ years of R&D leadership in medical device development.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering.
• Proven ability to set expectations, collaborate, and communicate across large teams.

Required skills

• Systems engineering principles (requirements engineering, risk management, configuration management).
• Design of electrical medical systems and consumable devices (catheters, guidewires).
• Regulatory standards: IEC 60601, IEC 62304, IEC 62366, UL, ANSI, ASTM, ISO, FDA.
