Director, Strategic Growth / Special Projects

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director to lead high‑impact, cross‑functional initiatives that drive long‑term growth for the Mastercard‑Recorded Future partnership. The role will shape, incubate, and operationalize strategic projects spanning data strategy, AI‑enabled offerings, product adjacency, and commercialization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of strategic initiatives across multiple functions and organizations.
• Guide projects from initial assessment through planning, execution, operationalization, and handoff to long‑term owners.
• Create structure, accountability, and momentum for initiatives with distributed ownership.
• Collaborate with Product and Strategy teams to define roadmaps and operating models.
• Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, including AI‑driven solutions and new data‑centric business models.
• Align stakeholders, drive decision‑making, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Intellectually curious and commercially minded senior leader.
• Highly collaborative with a proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments.
• Strong analytical skills to understand underlying business issues and shape recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Experience leading cross‑functional, strategic initiatives in a technology or payments context.
