About the role

The Director of Tax will shape and execute the U.S. tax strategy for a fast‑growing, newly public manufacturing company. This high‑visibility position reports directly to senior leadership and influences financial performance, risk management, and public‑company readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead federal, state, and local tax planning and compliance across a multi‑state footprint.
• Provide strategic tax advice to senior executives on transactions, expansions, and other initiatives.
• Manage tax audits, external advisors, and indirect‑tax exposure.
• Design and implement scalable tax processes and robust internal controls.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing tax team.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in U.S. federal, state, and local tax planning and compliance.
• Experience in complex, asset‑intensive or multi‑entity environments.
• Proven ability to manage audits and coordinate with external advisors.
• Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior leadership.
• Hands‑on leader capable of developing scalable processes and teams.
