Director of Supply Chain Operations & Planning

About the role

Compal is looking for a seasoned Director to lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations at its Texas manufacturing facility. You will drive demand planning, inventory management, logistics, warehousing and production support while ensuring operational readiness in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead demand and supply planning to meet manufacturing and customer needs.
• Manage inventory strategy, buffers and optimization initiatives.
• Oversee logistics, transportation, warehousing and distribution.
• Support site production ramp‑up and operational readiness activities.
• Coordinate cross‑functional planning to ensure on‑time production and delivery.
• Establish and manage SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) processes.
• Define freight and logistics strategies to optimize cost and efficiency.
• Monitor and improve OTIF performance metrics.
• Drive inventory turns improvement and reduce downtime.
• Lead and mentor Operations Managers and supply‑chain teams.
• Utilize ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle for planning and reporting.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering and Global Teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management or related field.
• 12+ years of supply‑chain operations experience in manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading SIOP and end‑to‑end planning processes.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle).
• Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory management and freight operations.
• Excellent leadership, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
