Diesel Mechanic – Full‑Time

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for its Georgetown, KY Service Center. This full‑time position involves maintaining a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on diesel engines, Class 8 trucks, trailers, forklifts, overhead doors, lift gates, and dollies.
• Diagnose and repair air‑conditioning and electrical systems.
• Conduct welding tasks as required by location.
• Utilize Cetaris software to manage work orders and track maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and major repairs on diesel engines.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lb and possess personal tools.
• Class A CDL holder with experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks.
• Experience performing trailer preventative maintenance and repairs.
