Director of Sales, West (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Sales for the West region to translate our commercial strategy into an actionable selling plan for grocery accounts. This senior role is remote‑only for candidates located on the West Coast of the United States and focuses on driving revenue growth through velocity, distribution, and promotional planning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for refrigerated breakfast categories across West Coast retail channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retailer partners, brokers, and distributors, managing inventory and addressing challenges proactively.
• Produce accurate sales forecasts, track performance against budget, and manage distribution, profitability, and trade‑spend targets.
• Plan, allocate, and optimize promotional budgets within trade guidelines, continuously improving promotional effectiveness.
• Track the book of business using provided sales tools, identify risks, and propose corrective actions.
• Set KPIs for brokers, manage performance, and maintain regular communication with key account contacts.
• Conduct market analysis, identify trends and competitive threats, and execute assortment, merchandising, and pricing priorities.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations and category reviews to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and executing regional sales strategies in the CPG or food sector.
• Demonstrated ability to manage retailer, broker, and distributor relationships.
• Strong forecasting, budgeting, and performance‑tracking capabilities.
• Experience with promotional planning and trade spend management.
• Ability to analyze market data, identify opportunities, and act on insights.
