Director of Sales – Distribution Operations

About the role

ELGi is seeking a Director of Sales – Distribution Operations to lead and expand its B2B sales efforts across North America. The role will shape and execute go‑to‑market strategies, drive revenue growth, and ensure high customer satisfaction within the compressed‑air industry.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead, recruit, coach and manage a high‑performing sales team, setting targets and monitoring performance.
• Oversee CRM adoption, territory assignments and sales forecasting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Identify emerging markets, track competitive landscape and promote new product offerings.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key customers and national accounts.
• Conduct sales meetings and product training sessions for the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of B2B sales leadership experience in manufacturing or distribution, preferably in the compressed‑air sector.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue and market‑share targets.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data, forecast trends and drive accountability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Experience using CRM systems.
• Experience using ERP systems.
