Director of Risk Management – District Office

About the role

The Manteca Unified School District is seeking a Director of Risk Management to lead its Risk Management Department at the district office. This full‑time position works Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm, with a one‑hour lunch break, and reports directly to senior district leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee the district’s risk management program and policies.
• Coordinate risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with school administrators, staff, and external partners to address risk‑related issues.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for the board and senior officials.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (U.S. Department of Education accredited) plus at least thirty college semester units.
• Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or a related field.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience managing a risk management program, preferably in a school district.
• Internal candidates are given preference.
