Director of Resource Management

About the role

The Resource Director is a senior strategic leader responsible for aligning resourcing intelligence with business decisions across Real Chemistry’s healthcare communications and marketing services. Reporting to senior leadership, the role partners with Finance, HR, and operational teams to drive data‑driven staffing, workforce planning, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end resourcing for assigned business units, making data‑driven staffing decisions that meet project, client, and financial goals.
• Lead resolution of complex staffing challenges and act as senior escalation point within the Resource Management function.
• Develop and maintain forward‑looking capacity forecasts, identifying skill gaps and recommending hiring, upskilling, or freelance solutions.
• Partner with Finance to monitor billability, utilization, and margin targets, delivering monthly performance reports with actionable insights.
• Champion best‑practice processes, driving continuous improvement in reporting, tooling, and workflow efficiency.
• Mentor and develop Resource Managers and Associates, overseeing onboarding, performance reviews, and career growth.

Required profile

• 10+ years in resource management, workforce planning, or operational staffing, with 2–3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in a complex, matrixed professional services or agency environment, preferably healthcare.
• Strong financial acumen covering billability, utilization, forecasting, and margin management.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills, translating data into clear business insights.
