About the role
The Texas A&M University System Offices are seeking a Director of Research Security Support Services to provide system‑wide leadership for research security program development, coordination, and operational support across all member institutions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, implement, and maintain a broad‑based research security framework.
- Lead the creation, interpretation, and implementation of system‑level research security policies, standards, and guidance.
- Ensure policies stay responsive to evolving federal expectations, regulatory changes, and emerging threats.
- Oversee delivery of research security support services, including consultation, issue resolution, and escalation support for member institutions.
- Develop communication strategies that translate complex requirements into practical guidance.
- Lead and mentor research security professionals and support staff, fostering professional development and collaboration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least ten years of related experience in research security or compliance.
