Director of Project Management

About the role

The Director of Project Management provides strategic leadership for JEM Group’s Project Management department, ensuring every active project meets operational, financial, and client‑satisfaction goals. Reporting to the executive team, this role partners with Field Operations and the VP of Operations to align office and field execution.

Key responsibilities

• Own department‑level financial performance, utilization, margin, and forecasting.
• Assign project management resources, guide staffing decisions, and resolve issues.
• Maintain career progression framework, lead recruiting, onboarding, mentoring, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with JEM Group safety policy and QA/QC standards.
• Oversee manpower forecasting, review project KPIs, and act as liaison between PM, Field Operations, and executive leadership.

Required profile

• 10+ years progressive project management experience in commercial construction.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and scale high‑performing PM teams.
• Experience across office, healthcare, education, retail, and light industrial sectors.
• Familiarity with General Construction, Design‑Build, and CMAR delivery methods.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in project controls and scheduling software.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of Procore and other project‑management platforms.
• Understanding of AIA contract documents and LEED principles.
