Director of People Services (Human Resources)

About the role

CoralTree is seeking a Director of People Services to lead the human resources function for Hotel Polaris, a new hospitality property at the U.S. Air Force Academy. The role sits on the leadership team and is responsible for shaping the employee experience, culture, and talent strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Champion and embed a culture centered on Heart First service, community impact, and inspirational travel experiences.
• Oversee day‑to‑day People Services operations, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention.
• Contribute to strategic planning, staffing forecasts, and training initiatives that keep the property competitive.
• Develop leadership capability through coaching, succession planning, and talent management.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and record‑keeping requirements.
• Manage bi‑weekly payroll processing with accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead performance management processes, ensuring timely evaluations and effective talent identification.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership experience, preferably in hospitality or a high‑growth service environment.
• Strong track record in talent acquisition, employee development, and culture building.
• Deep knowledge of employment law, compliance, and payroll administration.
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute strategic HR initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage both employees and senior leaders.
