Director of Operations

About the role

The Director of Operations will lead Cinepolis’ nationwide cinema network, ensuring every location delivers exceptional guest experiences while meeting key business targets. Reporting to the COO, this senior leader oversees day‑to‑day theater administration, drives operational excellence, and supports strategic growth across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement and continuously improve operational policies, guidelines and service standards.
• Conduct regular location audits to verify compliance with administrative processes, legal regulations and health‑and‑safety requirements.
• Facilitate management workshops that reinforce Cinepolis culture, share financial updates and develop leadership capabilities.
• Collaborate with functional heads to create and execute strategic plans and company‑wide initiatives.
• Monitor and act on data related to guest satisfaction, profitability, service delivery and employee engagement.
• Support new theater openings, including preparation, training and launch activities.
• Recruit, select, develop and mentor theater managers and staff, establishing performance metrics and evaluation cycles.
• Partner with HR to address performance or behavioral issues in line with policy and local law.
• Promote employee engagement and a values‑based culture throughout the organization.

Required profile

• 10+ years of multi‑unit experience in entertainment, restaurant or hospitality operations.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or people‑leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality or a related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
