Director of Manufacturing Quality Assurance

About the role

The company is expanding its domestic lithium‑ion battery production and seeks a Director of Manufacturing Quality Assurance to lead quality across cylindrical cell manufacturing. This senior, hands‑on role combines strategic leadership with direct technical mentorship to drive world‑class quality systems during a period of rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing quality organization, fostering a culture of accountability, process discipline and continuous improvement.
• Set quality objectives aligned with operational and business goals and track performance through meaningful metrics.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
• Develop, mentor and coach quality engineers, technicians and inspectors.
• Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Oversee document control, engineering change processes, internal audits and regulatory compliance.
• Drive quality throughout incoming inspection, in‑process manufacturing and final testing using SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma, CAPA and root‑cause analysis.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve process and quality issues to improve yield, reduce defects and scrap.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience in manufacturing quality for lithium‑ion cylindrical cell production.
• Proven ability to lead large, cross‑functional teams in a fast‑growing industrial environment.
• Strong track record of implementing and improving QMS, driving continuous improvement and delivering measurable quality results.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach.
