Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis partners directly with the Vice President of Corporate Finance & Strategy and reports to senior finance leadership. This role is responsible for shaping the financial and operational performance insight that drives margin expansion and growth aligned with CF Industries’ strategic vision.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise‑wide budgeting, forecasting and long‑range financial planning processes, including data collection, reporting and executive presentations.
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly performance reviews for senior leadership.
• Analyze financial and operational results against plans, forecasts and external expectations.
• Partner with Accounting to perform variance analysis and deliver clear financial insights.
• Synthesize complex data to identify performance risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations for critical decisions.
• Develop financial models for earnings forecasts, capital allocation, scenario planning and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with business units, commercial, supply chain and engineering teams to evaluate performance drivers, market dynamics, pricing and cost structures.
• Support capital planning, investment prioritization and continuous improvement of forecasting accuracy.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis and reporting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive data‑based decision making.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of delivering actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
