Director of Financial Aid

About the role

The Lanier Technical College Hall Campus is seeking a full‑time Director of Financial Aid to lead its student financial services. This senior, benefit‑eligible position reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial aid administration.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and supervise implementation of all financial aid policies, procedures, and funding programs.
• Plan, organize and manage daily operations of the Financial Aid Office.
• Counsel students and parents on financial aid options and prepare cost‑of‑attendance budgets.
• Oversee accountability for financial aid awards and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and analyze operational reports, participate in audits, and serve as Veterans Affairs Certifying Official.
• Manage departmental budget, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and evaluate staff performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• At least three years of experience in student financial aid, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state and institutional financial aid regulations and policies.
• Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
