Accessibility Services Coordinator

About the role

The Accessibility Services Coordinator provides essential support to students with disabilities across the Forsyth and Dawson campuses of Lanier Technical College. The role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations while promoting equitable access to education.

Key responsibilities

• Address accessibility concerns and develop solutions for students with disabilities.
• Evaluate, implement, and oversee practices that guarantee equitable access to facilities, services, and learning environments.
• Create and monitor Individual Accommodation Plans and manage student accommodation data in the case management system.
• Design brochures, handbooks, presentations, and website content related to accessibility services.
• Serve as the college ADA/504 Coordinator, conduct annual compliance audits, and facilitate training for faculty and staff.
• Arrange assistive technology and auxiliary aids, and collaborate with marketing to promote the program.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• At least two years of experience in a secondary or post‑secondary education setting.
• Knowledge of disability‑related functional limitations, FERPA, and relevant state and federal regulations.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Experience with student information systems such as Banner.
• Proficiency in using assistive technology and related software tools.
