Director of Finance

About the role

Ontic, a global aerospace OEM, is expanding its Miramar, FL site and seeks a Finance Director to lead financial operations for its North American MRO hub. Reporting to the West Coast Finance Director, you will work onsite and help shape the financial foundation of a fast‑growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain financial controls that satisfy statutory, legal and Group requirements.
• Lead external and internal audits, ensuring all audit deliverables are met.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports for Ontic and its CVC entity.
• Conduct month‑end close activities, including variance analysis and management briefings.
• Oversee routine reporting functions such as journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations, P&L statements, cash‑flow forecasting and management accounts.
• Manage credit controls and support purchase accounting for acquisitions under US GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with group insurance policies and review capital‑expenditure proposals.
• Supervise payroll processes and related financial activities.

Required profile

• Certified Public Accountant with at least 5 years experience in a large multinational environment.
• Background in manufacturing or engineering finance is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams.
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on continuous process improvement.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑changing environment, delegating tasks and prioritizing effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across all organizational levels.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• In‑depth knowledge of US GAAP.
