Director of Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will lead the financial operations of the Loews Coral Gables Hotel, providing accurate and timely financial reporting to support strategic decision‑making. This senior position ensures compliance with all regulations, safeguards assets, and drives financial performance across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the accounting department to ensure efficient financial operations and adherence to management contracts.
• Prepare, review, and distribute financial reports, ledger analyses, forecasts, and budgets on established schedules.
• Analyze monthly financial statements, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions to meet financial objectives.
• Monitor revenues and expenses, ensuring accurate recording in line with Loews guidelines.
• Establish, audit, and maintain internal financial controls, including purchasing and cash handling procedures.
• Lead staffing, training, and scheduling of finance team members.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in hotel or hospitality finance.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for presenting financial information to senior management.
