About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is seeking a Director of Capital Markets to lead the Cross Market & Portfolio Analysis (CMPA) function. This senior position shapes analysis of domestic capital markets and informs monetary‑policy and financial‑stability decisions across the Federal Reserve System and the U.S. Treasury.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Capital Markets Directorate, aligning resources with CMPA’s goals and the Markets Group strategic plan.
• Direct a high‑performing team of managers, specialists, and analysts delivering timely, policy‑relevant analysis of corporate credit, equity, municipal, securitization, and commodities markets.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative workplace, overseeing talent management to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
• Contribute expertise on non‑bank financial institutions and support broader financial‑stability work within the Bank and regulatory agencies.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading analytical teams in capital‑markets or related financial sectors.
• Deep understanding of domestic market dynamics, monetary‑policy implications, and financial‑stability considerations.
• Proven ability to communicate complex analysis to senior stakeholders across the Federal Reserve System and Treasury.
