Director, Merchandising - Women's Footwear

About the role

Rothy’s is seeking a strategic, consumer‑obsessed Director of Merchandising for Women’s Footwear to lead end‑to‑end product assortment strategy across retail, e‑commerce and wholesale channels. Reporting to the VP of Merchandising, this senior leader will shape the category vision, build profitable assortments and drive growth while aligning with brand positioning and financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute seasonal and long‑range merchandising strategy for Women’s Footwear, aligning brand vision, consumer insights and business objectives.
• Build balanced, productive assortments across core and trend categories with strong pricing architecture.
• Drive topline and bottom‑line performance, managing revenue, margin, inventory and in‑season optimization.
• Leverage sales data, competitive analysis and trend insights to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
• Partner with Design, Product Development, Planning, Production and Marketing to execute go‑to‑market strategies.
• Tailor merchandising strategies for retail, e‑commerce and wholesale channels.
• Lead and mentor a team of merchandising professionals, fostering collaboration and data‑driven decision‑making.

Required profile

• 8+ years of merchandising experience in footwear, accessories or fashion, preferably women’s footwear.
• Proven track record developing and executing merchandising strategies that drive growth and profitability.
• Strong analytical ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with high ownership in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience with product lifecycle management tools.
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Slides) and ad‑hoc tool building.
