About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director to lead operations at its Medicare‑certified Home Health office in Gaithersburg, MD. The role involves overseeing clinical and administrative functions to ensure high‑quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and state/federal laws.
• Manage clinical and administrative operations, including staff supervision, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Maintain compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, accreditation standards, and payer requirements.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, infection control, patient satisfaction, and outcomes tracking.
• Ensure survey readiness and guide the agency through state, CMS, and accrediting body inspections.
• Oversee supervision of clinical staff such as RNs, PTs, OTs, SLPs, MSWs, HHAs, and administrative personnel.
• Monitor operational metrics like admission rates, re‑hospitalizations, visit productivity, and clinician utilization.
• Collaborate with referral sources, physicians, hospitals, and community partners to drive business development and census growth.
• Review financial indicators including PDGM performance, LUPAs, visit utilization, and reimbursements.
• Conduct staff performance evaluations and ensure timely reporting to CMS and accrediting bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare‑related field or current clinical licensure (RN, PT, OT); Master’s degree preferred.
• Active RN, PT, or OT license in good standing (if applicable).
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage clinical operations.

Required skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare regulations, OASIS documentation, HIPAA, and CMS guidelines.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems, preferably Homecare Homebase.
