Director, Global Upstream Marketing

About the role

Lead the strategy, performance, and lifecycle management of Terumo Neuro's neurovascular therapy portfolio worldwide. Define a unified global portfolio strategy that accelerates growth, strengthens competitive position, and guides long‑term innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Own global portfolio strategy across multiple product lines, driving prioritization, lifecycle management, and long‑range planning.
• Lead investment decisions for new product development, line extensions, and end‑of‑life strategies.
• Develop and execute global commercialization plans, including launch sequencing, pricing, reimbursement, and regional adaptation.
• Partner with regional marketing leaders, sales teams, physicians, and cross‑functional functions (R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Operations) to ensure alignment and successful execution.
• Manage portfolio financial performance, forecasting revenue, optimizing margins, and allocating resources.
• Build and develop a high‑performing global marketing organization, including product managers and regional leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of medical device marketing experience and 5 years of management experience.
• Proven experience in domestic and international medical device markets, preferably in neurovascular therapies.
• Strong analytical capability, excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to motivate cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including domestic and international trips.

• Experience with iPad applications and customer databases.
