Director, Fund Controller – Energy Transition Fund

About the role

The Director will lead financial and portfolio management for InfraRed's Energy Transition Fund, overseeing reporting, valuation, treasury, and investor communications.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly reports, annual accounts, ESG reporting and present financial information to investors.
• Lead investment valuation processes, coordinating with advisers and auditors.
• Manage treasury functions, including banking facilities, FX hedging, cash forecasting and investor drawdowns.
• Maintain regular investor communications, support AGMs, LPACs and ad‑hoc meetings.
• Assist with capital requirement assessments, fundraising materials and due‑diligence.
• Provide fund‑level structuring support for acquisitions, refinancings, restructurings and exits.
• Identify and manage value‑enhancement initiatives to maximise portfolio returns.
• Prepare approval papers for internal committees and ensure compliance with fund documentation.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Fund/Financial Controller, Valuations or fund finance professional.
• Degree qualified; CFA, CPA, ACA or MBA considered a plus.
• Strong infrastructure/energy transition fund experience with solid financial, risk and commercial awareness.
• Understanding of US regulatory environment for open‑ended funds and strong governance experience.
• Advanced project‑management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and engage senior institutional investors.

What we offer

• Base salary between $170,000 and $200,000 per annum.
