Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for Mastercard's Technology business unit. Reporting to the VP of FP&A for Technology, this senior position partners with Technology Finance, Corporate FP&A and technology leadership to deliver insight‑driven decision support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning and target‑setting processes for the Technology unit, monitor performance and analyse variances.
• Manage forecasts, identify financial risks and opportunities, and ensure compliance with policies, standards and regulations.
• Provide financial insights to senior leadership, recommend new performance metrics and support decision‑making.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior business partners, collaborate with sourcing to drive efficiencies, and communicate variance analysis effectively.
• Drive process improvements in budgeting, forecasting and systems, sharing best practices across Business Units.
• Prepare quarterly operating review decks and monthly executive leadership updates.
• Lead and develop a team through goal setting, performance appraisals and coaching.
• Execute ad‑hoc projects and financial analyses, including new business cases.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a technology environment.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional financial processes and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of delivering actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive audiences.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing finance teams.
