Director, DoN Growth Campaign Leader (X-BAT Family of Systems)

About the role

Shield AI, a defense-tech company developing autonomous systems, aircraft and simulation technologies, is hiring a Director, DoN Growth Campaign Leader for its X-BAT family of systems. The role leads the internal operating rhythm that enables Shield AI's Department of the Navy (DoN) pursuits, including the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. It is a senior, high-visibility seat with authority rather than a reporting function, and sits within the VP, Mission Solutions organization.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain the integrated DoN campaign picture across all X-BAT FoS pursuits: strategy status, critical path, milestones, dependencies, decision points and campaign health.
• Enable GTM leads by giving them templates, playbooks, data, competitive and cost/schedule inputs, and cross-functional access to run their own capture plans.
• Coordinate engineering, product, export, legal, contracts, finance, government relations and business operations against a single prioritized campaign plan.
• Identify conflicts between campaigns over aircraft, test windows, approvals, engineering effort and indirect dollars, and recommend tradeoffs to executives.
• Run the operating cadence: campaign reviews, gate reviews, risk registers, action tracking and executive dashboards.
• Track campaign investment and indirect spend with Finance and Business Operations, and hold a standing seat in DoN bid/no-bid and investment-prioritization reviews.
• Turn learnings from captures into repeatable tools, templates, metrics and playbooks.
• Personally drive key customer responses (RFI, RFP, CSO) while GTM leads own win strategy, price-to-win and proposal content.

Required profile

• U.S. person under ITAR, able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance and SAP eligibility.
• 12-20+ years in capture management, program management, strategic or business operations, or a comparable cross-functional leadership role.
• Demonstrated success leading complex initiatives spanning engineering, business development, operations, finance and executive leadership.
• Working knowledge of how DoN programs are funded and fielded, including ASN(RDA) and NAVAIR program offices, the PPBE/POM cycle, Navy budget rhythms and rapid-acquisition pathways.
