Director, Associate Chief Academic Officer (ADIO)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Director, Associate Chief Academic Officer (ADIO) in Daytona Beach, Florida. The role oversees the development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs, works with program directors on curricula, supports faculty and ensures programs meet accreditation standards. The position is full time, day shift.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs
• Collaborate with program directors to create curricula that meet educational objectives and enhance the learning experience
• Provide leadership and support to faculty and staff involved in educational programs
• Facilitate communication, collaboration and problem-solving within the institution
• Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives, using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement
• Support faculty professional development through training, mentoring and resources
• Manage resources for educational programs, including budgeting, staffing and technological support
• Ensure students receive the support and guidance they need, and address student concerns
• Provide oversight of required documentation and reports to regulatory bodies and accrediting organizations, keeping records accurate and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards
• Assist with the faculty development curriculum
• Serve as Vice Chair of the GME Committee, Chair of the Institutional Review Subcommittee, and designee for the Chief Academic Officer when absent

Required profile

• Doctorate degree (MD, DO, or another doctorate such as PhD, EdD, JD)
• Experience as a DIO, program director or other significant GME administrative role
• Experience in undergraduate medical education administration
