About the role
Join Chewy’s tax team and help ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations while supporting the company’s financial health. As a Direct Tax Analyst you will prepare and reconcile tax returns, assist with audits, and contribute to tax provision processes in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.
Key responsibilities
- Process, analyze and reconcile federal, state and local tax return filings and supporting work papers.
- Prepare corporate tax returns, extensions, quarterly estimated payments and franchise/gross receipts tax returns.
- Maintain state apportionment schedules and support state income tax audits.
- Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end close activities and the quarterly/annual tax provision.
- Monitor legislative changes in U.S. tax law and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, external auditors and third‑party providers on tax and operational matters.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a Master’s in Taxation (MST).
- 3+ years of income tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation or law firm.
- Strong analytical abilities and self‑motivation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with OneSource tax software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Competence in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
