Fee Approval Specialist

About the role

Diaz Anselmo & Associates P.A. is looking for a detail‑oriented Fee Approval Specialist to support its billing operations. The role ensures fee requests are processed accurately, complies with client billing guidelines, and facilitates communication across legal and finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review, prepare, and submit fee approval requests in line with client billing requirements.
• Collaborate with attorneys, billing staff, and internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Monitor workflow queues to guarantee timely and accurate processing of requests.
• Communicate professionally with clients on escalated fee approval matters.
• Gather required documentation from multiple departments for complete submissions.
• Maintain knowledge of client billing platforms such as Legal Tracker, Tempo, and other fee management systems.
• Assist team members during high‑volume periods, backlogs, or staff absences.
• Support cross‑training, system enhancements, and special projects as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma (required); associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field (preferred).
• Experience in legal billing, fee approvals, accounts receivable or similar administrative roles is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
