Direct Support Professional – Oneonta Region

About the role

Springbrook is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Oneonta region. You will work across educational, residential, and community settings, providing daily living support and promoting independence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assistance to service recipients in educational, residential, and community environments.
• Support activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care.
• Promote choice and independence while maintaining protective oversight.
• Ensure compliance with Springbrook policies and state regulations for safe program operation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with individuals who have developmental disabilities preferred.
• Flexible schedule availability, including mandatory overtime, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
• Willingness to be reassigned to other locations based on business needs.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Springbrook vehicle requirements.
• Capability to perform all required physical interventions.
