Direct Support Professional (Binghamton)

About the role

Springbrook is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across educational, residential and community settings. The position involves supporting daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assistance to service recipients in all aspects of their lives, including educational, residential, and community environments.
• Support activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal care, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Promote choice and independence while maintaining protective oversight.
• Ensure compliance with Springbrook policies and state regulations.
• Work flexible schedules, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and mandatory overtime as needed.
• Be willing to be reassigned to other locations based on business needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mandatory overtime and overnights.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads.
• Valid driver’s license and meet requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.

• Hourly wage ranging from $20 to $22, based on experience and qualifications.
