Diagnostic Technologist II – Weekend

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist II to provide high‑quality radiologic imaging on weekend shifts. The role involves operating imaging equipment, ensuring radiation safety, and delivering excellent patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic‑quality images and prepare them for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain radiation protection standards, document exposure factors, and ensure proper equipment usage.
• Verify physician orders, attach images to correct patient records, and ensure studies are completed in PACS.
• Report equipment issues, assist in training new staff, and keep the work area clean and organized.

Required profile

• Technical School Diploma or graduate of an accredited Radiography program (less than 1 year of experience).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (state of Pennsylvania within 30 days of hire).
• RT – Registered Technologist Radiology license in Pennsylvania upon hire.
• Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting 40‑50 lb and standing for long periods.

Required skills

• Radiography and fluoroscopy operation.
• Radiation safety and protection procedures.
• Use of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
