DevOps Engineer

About the role

As a DevOps Engineer at Booz Allen, you will accelerate the delivery of mission‑critical solutions by automating the software development lifecycle. You will leverage open‑source tools, cloud services, and modern automation practices to free developers from repetitive tasks and enable rapid, reliable releases.

Key responsibilities

• Streamline the end‑to‑end software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to production monitoring.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar IaC solutions.
• Implement and manage container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Collaborate with application development teams to create scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
• Integrate open‑source and commercial tools into cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Provide troubleshooting, triage, and continuous improvement of automation processes.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
• 2+ years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning (CloudFormation, Terraform).
• 2+ years of experience with configuration management tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes or Docker.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Linux Shell.
• Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Bachelor’s degree and ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification within 30 days of hire.
