DevOps Engineer Intern

About the role

Grid Dynamics, a multinational technology consulting firm founded in 2006 and headquartered in Silicon Valley, offers a 6-month DevOps Engineer internship. The intern works 40 hours per week, 5 days a week in the office, under the supervision of an experienced programmer and in close collaboration with a mentor.

Key responsibilities

• Learn under the supervision of an experienced programmer.
• Spend 40 hours per week for 6 months developing yourself in your chosen field.
• Work closely with your mentor on daily tasks.
• Collaborate with the team in an onsite model, with 5 days per week in the office mandatory.

Required profile

• Student of a faculty of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technologies, Graphic Design or a related discipline.
• Strong motivation, high interest in software development and ability to self-study.
• Desire and willingness to become a DevOps specialist.
• English at upper-intermediate level or higher.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Linux OS internals and the Linux command line, including writing simple one-liners.
• Basic knowledge of bash scripting.
• Nice to have: generic knowledge of DevOps practices, knowledge of the CI/CD process, and knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP and Azure.
