DevOps Engineer – AWS Infrastructure (New York)

About the role

Twenty Technologies is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its New York office. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering, operations, and security, focusing on designing, building, and operating a robust AWS‑based application platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate AWS infrastructure for single‑tenant and multi‑tenant environments.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform.
• Develop and maintain deployment automation with Ansible or similar tools.
• Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, etc.).
• Create and refine observability solutions: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts.
• Collaborate with product and backend teams on architecture, performance tuning, and operational readiness.
• Contribute to security and governance, including IAM policies, network security, secrets management, and security scanning.
• Document systems, patterns, and runbooks for reliable platform operation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience administering AWS infrastructure and operating cloud‑native applications.
• Proven use of Terraform to manage both single‑tenant and multi‑tenant systems.
• Strong practical knowledge of IP networking (VPCs, routing, subnets, DNS) and network security (security groups, NACLs, firewalls).
• Experience with PKI management (TLS certificates, mTLS, certificate lifecycle).
• Familiarity with Ansible or another configuration‑management framework.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in reliability engineering, alert management, and on‑call practices.
• Experience setting up observability stacks using Grafana and OpenTelemetry.
