Detox Nurse

About the role

CRI-Help is seeking a dedicated Detox Nurse to join its newly opened Lincoln Heights facility. The nurse will provide direct clinical care to adults undergoing detoxification, supporting them through admission, treatment, and discharge while ensuring safe medication practices.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess clients’ detoxification processes and vital signs.
• Provide nursing care throughout pre‑admission, admission, treatment, and discharge phases.
• Receive physician orders, transcribe them into client charts, and oversee medication administration by technicians.
• Observe client self‑administration of medications, assess reactions, and ensure adherence.
• Conduct utilization reviews with managed‑care organizations and third‑party payers.
• Review medication logs for errors and provide corrective supervision.
• Maintain documentation, incident reports, and meet billing productivity targets.
• Assist with general unit duties and support the Director of Nursing as needed.

Required profile

• Advanced understanding of substance use disorders and related psychological conditions.
• Experience in clinical nursing within detox or substance‑use treatment settings.
• Ability to assess vital signs, medication reactions, and client readiness for higher levels of care.
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with medical record requirements.
